"I grew up near the famous bluegrass festival at “Harmony Pines” in Gilson, IL. I met a lot of great people and influential musicians. It was there I first got into jam sessions and learning the basics of the 5-String banjo. As I grew older I began playing banjo in different bands, such as Don Brown and the Ozark Mountain Trio, Shady Mix, and Chris Jones and the Night Drivers. I currently play banjo for Ashley Lewis and Legacy. Throughout the years I've entered banjo competitions in Illinois, winning 1st Place at the Springfield State Fair Banjo Competition 8 times."
